New Program Review

If you follow me on Instagram you know that I’ve been doing a 9 week program the last 5 weeks, and I just neglected to write it down here. Last year around this time I started a 13 week program to prep for a vacation we were supposed to go on to the Dominican Republic, in the same fashion I was holding on hope that the trip planned for Riviera Maya this year would be happening so I started this program in prep for that. Much like last year it did in fact get cancelled and I had a solid pity party week, but I’m over it and I’m back on my bullshit. (below are pictures of where we started.. quarantine, holidays, and post surgery I really just put my health on the back burner)

I don’t know what I’m prepping for, but I guess just life. If the last year has taught me anything it’s that you can’t depend on external factors to motivate you. I used to rely heavily on events and trips to work my hardest and would seriously just put on cruise control when there wasn’t anything to be ready for. I do live an overall healthy lifestyle, and am really good at cruising at not my best which doesn’t help me in any way. This is pretty controversial these days as we’re supposed to not want abs or to be super fit looking, but I do want that, I do want to push myself to be the best version of me so I’m doing that. These next four weeks I’m taking back control of my life, my fitness, my nutrition, and really pushing myself. It’s not about being perfect, but it is about me doing the best I can and I know right now I’m not.
