If you’ve been here for a minute you already know I love shopping and I love staying active. So it’s only natural that the two would collide and I would make sure my workout clothes are not only functional, but also help me feel cute af which helps with my confidence, and helps me push harder in my workouts. It’s a total ripple affect, so I really value workout clothes that help me feel great and look great. I will say this type of comfort, style, and functionality comes at a little higher price point so for some items I will share more affordable options.
For starters leggings, you need a good pair. My go to brand and style are the Lululemon Align Leggings which I’m sure you’ve heard many people rave about. The hype is REAL for these. Now, there are plenty of people out there that claim they have found Lululemon Align dupes. I just don’t buy it, I’ve tried many and they just don’t compare and I’m telling you the real thing is worth the splurge. I wear mine literally almost every day, and they’re the only workout pants I will wear anymore.
I just recently purchased my first Lululemon Align tank and while it is very flattering I have tried other tops that do compare. It’s necessary for me that the sisters stay in place, I don’t feel like I’m suffocating, and I can move freely in a top while I’m working out and all these boxes are checked in the Lululemon Align top. These Amazon finds (looks identical to Lululemon over 2,500 5 star reviews, tank shown in picture below and almost 20k 5 star reviews) are very comfortable, check all the boxes, (I would size up) and have a similar feel to the Lululemon Align fabric.

I always go back to old faithful Nike medium impact bras. They are comfortable, have good coverage, aren’t fussy, and work. For a more every day type sports bra my go to is the adjustable bra from Handful which is a female owned small business based in Northern Oregon. They also donate 12.5% of proceeds from their Battle Cry Pink bras to Young Survivor Coalition.

I’m a sucker for a cute tennis shoe, but it has to be comfortable and functional too. Of all my shoes (and I have a lot) my favorites have to be my APL Techloom Bliss, Adidas Ultraboost, and Adidas Swift Run– in that order. Obviously two of those shoe styles are on the more expensive side, but the Adidas Swift Run shoes are at a more budget friendly price. My only suggestion would be to size down a 1/2 size in any Adidas shoes, or be sure you have the chance to try them on before purchasing. APL tends to run really true to size, and seriously if you can afford the splurge go for it, they are the absolute best.
