Sometimes I like to eat a really good burger, but I don’t want all the extra grease and sluggish feeling that comes with eating fast food or even unfortunately at nicer burger restaurants. I won’t bore you with some long story about where this recipe originated from, because that first sentence is basically it. And don’t worry, I use real meat too.
What you need aka INGREDIENTS
1 pound 95% lean ground beef
1-2 jalapenos (depending on how spicy you want it)
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 slices of bacon
1 tbsp garlic salt
1 tbsp McCormick Montreal Steak seasoning
Step 1: Chop up jalapeno and bacon slices (I cut my bacon in half in the package so thats why there are 5 slices in the photo, also I made an extra slice for my hubby to add to his burger). Mix seasonings, bacon, jalapeno, and onion into the ground beef.
Step 2: Make and shape out your patties. I make about 6 patties, and a trick I learned somewhere along the line is to make the patties thicker around the edges and thinner in the middle so that when they’re cooking they shrink more evenly and flat.
Step 3: Cook on the grill all the way through. ENJOY!
